TSA Nationals: Shoreline Students Bring Home Multiple Top Awards

Shoreline students from Cascade K-8 Community School, Shorecrest High School, and Shorewood High School competed at the 2025 National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference in Nashville, Tennessee! Over 9,000 middle and high school students from nearly every state and several other territories and countries competed in more than 70 events over this five-day conference.

Shorewood's Results

The Shorewood High School TSA team brought 12 members to compete in the TSA National Competition. Shorewood competed nationally in 11 events (Board Games, Children’s Stories, Drone Challenge, Forensics, Future Tech Teacher, On Demand, Photo Technology, STEM Mass Media, Structural Design & Engineering, Tech Bowl, and Tech Problem Solving) and qualified for semi-finals in Children's Stories, Drone Challenge, and Structural Design.

Not only did all of these team events make the Top 10 finals, BUT Shorewood took home 1st place trophies in both Children's Stories and Drone Challenge, and Structures placed 4th in the nation!

Shorecrest High School brought 13 students who competed in a wide variety of technical events; Dragster Design, Drones Challenge, On Demand Video, Robotics Challenge, Senior Solar Sprint, STEM Mass Media, Structural Design and Engineering, Systems Control Technology, Technology Problem Solving, Video Game Design and Webmaster.

Please congratulate Tom Dinell, Alex Lee, Brooks Murray and Vyr Sterkowicz who showed tremendous grit and resilience in the Drones Challenge, earning 3rd Place in the Nation.

Cascade K-8 Community School's Results

Cascade K-8 Community School brought nine students who competed in nine team and individual events: Biotechnology, Career Prep, Community Service Video, Data Science and Analytics, Dragster, Forensic Technology, Inventions and Innovations, Problem-Solving, and Technical Design.

Everyone worked very hard to prepare their projects for National competition, competing in some of their events against hundreds of students from all over the country.

Tierney McGinnis, Dagny Lynn, and Olive Stieber took 1st Place in the nation with their Community Service Video about addressing food insecurity in their community by filling little free pantries and preparing meals for the homeless. The students also filled local little free libraries. They created a short film about their project.
